Tuna Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 (6-ounce) cans high-quality tuna in water, drained and flaked

  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 Tbsp grated carrot

  • 2 Tbsp minced red onion

  • 1/2 small celery stalk, finely diced (about 1 tablespoon)

  • 2 Tbsp dill pickles, finely chopped (sweet or dill, your choice)

  • 1/4 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise (adjust for creaminess)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flaked tuna with lemon juice and black pepper.

  2. Add the grated carrot, red onion, celery, pickles, and Dijon mustard. Stir until evenly distributed.

  3. Gently fold in mayonnaise until the salad reaches your desired consistency.

  4. Serve chilled on lettuce leaves, with tomato slices on bread, or alongside crackers.
