Cranberry Chutney
Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
½ cup chopped onion
½ clove garlic, minced
4 whole cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. salt
¼ cup vinegar
Dash of cayenne pepper
2 cups fresh cranberries
¼ cup golden raisins
½ cup chopped dates
¼ cup brown sugar
Instructions:
Simmer the following for 5 minutes: water, sugar, onion, garlic, cloves, cinnamon, salt, vinegar, and cayenne pepper.
Add the fresh cranberries and golden raisins.
Add the chopped dates and brown sugar.
Simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Cool the mixture.
Serve chilled.
