Chocolate Snowflake Cookies
(Makes 6 dozen)
Ingredients:
¼ cup oil
Optional: substitute butter and Crisco for a richer favor and a more tender crumb
2 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp melted Crisco
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
¼ cup confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
Mix the oil, melted chocolate, and granulated sugar together.
Blend in the eggs one at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla and blend.
Blend the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into the chocolate mixture.
Chill for several hours.
Drop by ½ tsp. of dough into the confectioners' sugar and roll around to coat.
Place balls 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes.
